Nehorai is a full time Torah student who is married with 3 children and volunteers in the Kiryat Sefer and Be’er Yaakov regions. His natural love for helping others is what motivated Nehorai to join United Hatzalah, where he has been dutifully volunteering for five years now.
One day, Nehorai was alerted to a 50 year-old woman who was feeling weak. Knowing that weakness can be a symptom of a more serious problem, Nehorai dropped everything and raced to the scene. When he entered the home, the woman was lying unconscious on her bed. The experienced medic quickly checked for a pulse and finding none, immediately began CPR. Nehorai was quickly joined by another United Hatzalah medic and then later by an ambulance crew. The team administered intense chest compressions, cardiac drugs and a shock from the defibrillator. After 20 minutes, her pulse returned and she was rapidly transported to the hospital for further treatment. For Nehorai, implementing the lessons of caring kindness, volunteerism and the sanctity of life are central to his way of life and involvement with United Hatzalah.
