About Netanel Trusman

Netanel works as a building renovations contractor and lives with his wife and two children in Moshav Mahaseya.  His entry into the world of lifesaving came about via a conversation with United Hatzalah CEO Moshe Teitlebaum, whom he happened to meet one day.  Netanel was captivated, as Moshe described of the scope of United Hatzalah’s of lifesaving activities.  Not long after that he signed up for a United Hatzalah EMT course and has been volunteering for the past three years.

Netanel has become a central address on his small Moshav, where all the residents know that this kind neighbor is there for them when they have medical issues, be they big or small.  In addition, his close proximity to Beit Shemesh, one of Israel’s fastest growing cities, affords him the opportunity to respond to a myriad of medical emergencies occurring in this populous region.  One incident that Netanel will never forget was when he suddenly heard panicked screams for help.  He raced towards the commotion and found a three-year old boy who was choking.  In less than a minute, the experienced medic had helped the child dislodge the blockage, thus saving the young boy’s life.  It was an incredible feeling, one that this devoted volunteer will cherish always.
