About Daniel Tuviana

Daniel works as a mortgage broker and lives with his wife and two children in Rishon LeZion.  While growing up, he was taught that one must use all his talents to help others, however he can.  With this mindset, Daniel was naturally attracted to United Hatzalah’s “give one’s all” approach.  His children are curious regarding their father’s sudden disappearances, and he gladly provides them a window into his life saving activities by telling them stories about his volunteer activities.

Being a United Hatzalah volunteer is no picnic and it has more than its share of inconveniences.  However, saving a life compensates more than enough for the challenges that a volunteer medic encounters.  Sometimes, however, encouragement comes from the most unlikely sources. One day, Daniel was alerted to a woman who was experiencing severe weakness while driving.  He raced to the scene and found a car on the shoulder of the road with a couple inside.  The experienced medic quickly checked the woman’s vital signs and administered high-flow oxygen.  As he worked, he spoke with the man in the car who it turned out was simply a passing bicyclist who had stopped to help.  Daniel carefully monitored the woman’s condition and helped transfer her into the ambulance upon its arrival.

The helpful bicyclist then parked the woman’s car on a safe side street and biked to the hospital to bring the woman her keys.  Daniel felt an immediate kinship with and took inspiration from the caring bicyclist.  Daniel’s worldview had been reinforced.  Doing for others, whenever, wherever and however needed.
