About Meir Ben-Varon

Meir is an optometrist who owns and manages a private eyeglass business.  He lives with his wife and three children in Modi’in and has been volunteering with United Hatzalah for two years.  This altruistic individual thrives on giving, contributing and helping others.  Whether it is helping people get the correct eyewear for themselves, jogging in the “Race for Life and Hope” for the Israel Cancer Association or racing to medical emergencies with United Hatzalah, Meir is in his element.

Modi’in is one of Israel’s fastest growing cities and Meir assists in any way possible in the building up and strengthening of the United Hatzalah branch in the city.  Since Meir began volunteering with United Hatzalah, he doesn’t know the meaning of the phrase “spare time”.  He spends his days and nights involved in charitable and often lifesaving activities, adding a whole new and meaningful dimension to his being, something which he has no intention of giving up anytime soon.
