Yisrael has been a volunteer in United Hatzalah for over three years. He lives in Bnei Brak and started volunteering after a neighbor lost consciousness and he had no idea what to do. Yisrael loves medicine and the idea of saving lives. He has taken advanced training to join United Hatzalah’s hospital project to support overworked ER staff. Yisrael finds the intensity of the emergency room to be an amazing educational experience.
Recently, Yisrael was able to save the life of a 35 year-old man, father of seven children, who suffered a near-fatal cardiac arrest one Shabbat afternoon. Because of Yisrael’s quick response and the rapid application of his United Hatzalah defibrillator, today this man is walking around healthy and well.
