Michael works in operations for a tour company, is a father of three and a resident of Jerusalem. He has been a volunteer EMT for over 15 years and is one of United Hatzalah’s most experienced medics. Michael admits that finding the proper equilibrium between his emergency responding and his familial and professional responsibilities can be a delicate balancing act. Fortunately, his family is very understanding and supportive, not to mention very proud of their special father.
The satisfaction that Michael receives from responding to medical emergencies is all that he needs to keep going. It means so much to Michael when people in his neighborhood remind or thank him for the help he has provided them or their family members. Michael always smiles and nods graciously, even though he does not always remember the incident, due to the large number of calls he responds to and time elapsed since the event. These grateful individuals, however, will never forget.
