Raziel works as a regional administrator for the Israeli government and lives with his wife in Givat Ze’ev. He has been volunteering for United Hatzalah for over 10 years, and has seen clearly the positive influence this has had on his family, friends, and colleagues. Raziel’s dedication to helping others, any time of day or night, regardless of how inconvenient it is, has caused all those around him to become more giving and caring individuals.
One small example of Raziel’s lifesaving activities was when he was alerted to a man who had seriously injured himself with a circular saw. Raziel bolted out of his home and raced to the nearby address, arriving in 45 seconds! Sprinting into the home, Raziel encountered a hysterical family beside their father, who lay on the floor with blood spurting from his deep wound. The experienced medic quickly staunched the man’s bleeding and bandaged the potentially fatal wound. In just over a minute, the man was in stable condition and out of danger. The exceedingly grateful gentleman confided to Raziel that the moment he saw the orange vest, his panic receded and he knew he would be okay.
