Yossi is the regional director of Neve Yaakov, Pisgat Zev in Jerusalem. Yossi started volunteering 9 years ago after he was involved in a terrible road accident. While he was okay, there were several others injured and he watched the United Hatzalah medics arriving on scene almost as soon as the car stopped moving he felt that he wanted to be “just like them”. After that, he took the initiative to join an EMT course. After some time he trained to join the elite ambucycle unit. Realizing that his coolness under pressure would serve him well as a dispatcher he trained for this position as well and has since moved up in the ranks to be a dispatch team commander. When the Ten Kavod program was established to provide home well-visits and general healthcare assessments to Holocaust survivors and at-risk elderly he joined that program as well. He feels very fortunate to be part of United Hatzalah and always thanks the organizers of this incredible organization, the dedicated volunteers, and the donors that make this all possible.
